ABOUT THE AUTHOR JOHN EDGERTON

John Edgerton was born into the “Wild Western Culture” in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the son of Eugene and Elaine Edgerton, former natives of Nebraska. He graduated with honors from Boise State University, having won the Rocky Mountain Festival “Best Play Award” for his existential play “Toyshop” which was studied in English classes at Boise State and “The Best Science Fiction Screenplay Grant” for the short film script "Melancholy World”. While working as a professional actor, director and scene designer in Seattle, he was fortunate to study “Motion Picture Techniques” with legendary Stanley Kramer and later on “Screenwriting” from Producer/Director Michael Hoffman. He is the Co-Winner of the Irene Ryan Award for his role as Stephano in the Tempest. Mr. Edgerton worked in Hollywood in motion pictures and television in art departments for Tri-Star Pictures, New World Pictures, Cannon Films, New Line Cinema and Cinetel Productions in television and motion picture production. He is the playwright of eight plays, screenwriter of forty screenplays and author of five novels including the recently released Christmas fantasy youth novel “The Spirit of Christmas” and the fantasy adventure novel “Assassins of Dreamsongs”.
